Net-Zero Homes

Advancing Housing Decarbonisation in the UK

Net Zero Homes is passionately dedicated to pioneering carbon mitigation initiatives across the UK, with a primary focus on enhancing energy efficiency in domestic properties.

The project’s Lifecycle has been set to 10 years, including the crediting period with additional project activity being continually added as more properties are added to the project.

Projections indicate that the energy-saving solutions implemented in each property will yield substantial CO2e reductions ranging from 1.5 to 5 tonnes over the project's tenure, contingent upon the heating system's scale.

Each project instance is a small-scale carbon reduction project through which bespoke energy efficiency measures are applied to domestic properties, and the appropriate small scale project methodology is applied.

This Project Activity is a grouped project of small-scale energy efficiency measures applied to domestic properties, who are tenants of a social housing association or occupants of privately owned properties who are maintained through a heating system servicing contractor

Net-Zero Homes' carbon reduction scheme aims to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions in the UK's housing stock. They achieve this by providing funded installation of energy reduction technologies. By identifying emission savings and commoditising the carbon reductions achieved, they can then monetise these generated carbon credits to fund the scheme.

This approach serves a dual purpose: it significantly reduces households' carbon emissions while simultaneously helping alleviate fuel poverty by lowering their heating bills.

As a result, this scheme delivers both environmental and social benefits, contributing to the UK's planned emission reduction targets.
